It took 11 innings, but the Torrington Titans (16-18) managed to put away the Brockton Rox (21-14) 5-4 on Friday at Campanelli Stadium.
With the score tied at four in the eleventh inning, hit a sacrifice fly, scoring Jeremy Pena.
The Torrington Titans were led by a flawless day at the dish by Dean Lockery, who went 3-3 against the Brockton Rox's pitching. He singled in the third, fifth, and eleventh innings.
The Brockton Rox had no answer for Ray Krieger, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Brockton Rox managed just one hit off of Krieger, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his two innings of work.
Evan DeVico improved to 2-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Torrington Titans. He allowed one run over three innings. DeVico struck out one, walked one and gave up two hits.
Conor Russell couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Brockton Rox, taking a loss. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed one run.
