Bluefish Sink Versus Revolution

(Bridgeport, CT) - The Bridgeport Bluefish (19-33) were defeated by the York Revolution (32-22), 11-5 in the third game of a four game set on Thursday night at The Ballpark at Harbor Yard.

York scored their first three runs of the game in the top of the fourth inning when Johan Limonta hit an RBI double, which was followed by a two run home run by Ofilio Castro. Bridgeport's Luis Rodriguez singled to start the bottom of the fifth inning and then scored their first run of the game when Ramon Castro got hit with a pitch while the bases were loaded. York then exploded for eight runs during innings six through eight with Chad Tracy going 2-for-3 during that span with two runs scored and a three run home run. Bridgeport's Prentice Redman hit a solo home run in the bottom of the eighth inning.

Redman was the only Bridgeport player with more than one hit, going 3-for-5 with a solo home run.

Revolution starter Chris Cody (5-3) picked up the win going seven innings, giving up one earned run, allowing four hits, issuing one walk with four strikeouts. For the Bluefish, starter Matt Iannazzo (1-2) suffered the loss going six innings, giving up nine hits, four earned runs, one walk with three strikeouts.

Bridgeport and York will play the finale of their four game series tomorrow night with the first pitch slated for 7:05 p.m. Come out to The Ballpark at Harbor Yard to check out all of the promotions and fun the 'Fish have in store for the 2014 season.
