Lakewood, NJ- Suns get whalloped against the Lakewood Blueclaws for their third loss in a row, 15-6, on Thurday night. The Suns (10-17) gave up 19 hits in the defeat.
The Suns are now 18 games under .500 for the first time this year with an overall record of 38-56 with 43 games left in the 140 game season. The Suns managed a 5-3 lead after the top of the third, but were outscored 12-1 over the final six innings. Lakewood (13-14) is now 9-5 in 14 games against Hagerstown this year, and eight Blueclaws' players are hitting over .300 in this year's series.
The Suns, 1-3 on this road trip, send RHP Ben Thurmond to the hill on Friday at 7:05pm against RHP Erick Arteaga.
