SAVANNAH, Ga. - Big innings have been a problem for BlueClaws starting pitcher Colin Kleven all season long, and Tuesday night's 6-1 loss to the Savannah Sand Gnats was no different.

Five of the first six batters of the 2nd inning reached with base hits and it led to four early runs and a comfortable lead for Savannah starter Alex Panteliodis who allowed one run in four innings of work.

Savannah added two runs in the 8th inning with a two-run homer by Brian Harrison to extend a 4-1 lead to 6-1.

The lone BlueClaws run came in the 4th inning when Harold Martinez doubled, Bob Stumpo singled and then Kyrell Hudson singled to drive home Martinez. Stumpo was 2-for-4 in the ballgame, is hitting .452 and has six multi-hit games in his first eight games with the BlueClaws.

Following the ballgame the BlueClaws will travel back to New Jersey through the night and will arrive back in the Garden State Wednesday afternoon. Lakewood will play Greensboro in the first game of a four-game homestand beginning Thursday evening. Lino Martinez (2-2, 7.67) will start for the BlueClaws against Adam Conley (3-0, 2.76) for the Grasshoppers. First pitch for Thursday's game is scheduled for 6:35 p.m.
