BlueClaws Back For Four Beginning Monday

LAKEWOOD, N.J. - After six days on the road, the Lakewood BlueClaws are back at FirstEnergy Park beginning Monday night for a four-game series with the Lexington Legends (Houston Astros). The first two nights feature opportunities for kids and seniors to eat for free, and there's a special appearance by jockey Joe Bravo and a Breeders Cup Prize Package Giveaway. Each game is at 6:35 p.m.

The BlueClaws split six games on the previous homestand, and entering play Wednesday, are 7-8 overall, 5.5 games behind first-place West Virginia. Fans who came to all six games at FirstEnergy Park last week were treated to six one-run games, and nine of Lakewood's first 15 games have been decided by one-run.

Monday night, as always, is Kids Eat Free, thanks to ShopRite. There will also be a post-game giveaway thanks to Hershey.

Before Tuesday's game, fans can relive the 2006 Championship season, as the first 2,000 fans will receive a Replica Championship Banner courtesy of The Strand Theater and Accu-Image Design. It's also the first Seniors Eat Free Tuesday of the year, presented by Commerce Bank.

With the upcoming release of his new movie, Spiderman comes to FirstEnergy Park on Wednesday night. Also, the first 2,000 fans 17 & under will receive a School Supply Pouch thanks to AAA-Mid Atlantic.

Finally, Monmouth Park will be raffling off all-session passes to October's Breeders Cup World Thoroughbred Championships next Thursday. Joe Bravo, a 12-time leading rider at the Oceanport track will throw out the first pitch, and all fans 18 & over will receive free admission passes to Monmouth Park.

The BlueClaws will then head to Lake County for three games and play a five-game in four-day homestand with Greensboro (Florida Marlins) beginning Tuesday May 8th.

The BlueClaws have led the league in attendance every year, adding 448,310 fans in 2006. This season, the BlueClaws will become the fastest team in South Atlantic League and New Jersey baseball history to reach the 3 million fan attendance mark.
