
Blue Wahoos Announce 2014 Schedule

The fun and excitement of Blue Wahoos baseball will awake from offseason hibernation beginning on Thursday, April 3 when the Tennessee Smokies come to town to open the 2014 schedule. The complete promotional schedule will be finalized over the winter, but one thing is certain, 2014 will be filled with exciting giveaways and hilarious entertainment acts to keep up the excitement in Pensacola Bayfront Stadium.
Fans can expect more of the same and even better customer service and fan experience next season that led to a 93% fan satisfaction rate in 2013. Many of the familiar faces fans see on a daily basis will be back after a year which had an incredible employee engagement rate of 99% among gameday staff.
Fireworks are back on all 10 Saturday nights and three Out of School Tuesdays on July 22 and August 12 & 25. On July 3, the Blue Wahoos will celebrate Independence Day early, with a special mega fireworks extravaganza. All told, there will be 14 fireworks shows at the Bayfront Stadium in 2014.
Pensacola will play host to Sunshine State rival Jacksonville 15 times and Bay-to-Bay rival Mobile for 10 games. Jacksonville will make its first trip to the Bayfront Stadium May 15-19. The first installment of the Bay-to-Bay series with Mobile will happen July 21-25. The Blue Wahoos will open the season with 15 home games in April. Pensacola will be home for 16 games in May, 11 in June, 13 games in July and 15 contests in August.
The first half ends on June 15 before the three-day Southern League All-Star Break in Chattanooga June 16-18 with the game on the Tuesday, June 17. The 140 game schedule will be completed in 152 with Pensacola closing out the season with a five game set in Birmingham August 28-September 1.
