WINNIPEG, MB – Do you like dancing? What about cheerleading?

If you are between the ages of 6 and 15 and your dream is to be part of a professional dance/cheer team, then you will want to sign up for the Blue Lightning Junior Dance Team.

No tryout is required to become a member of the team. This program is structured for all levels of ability. Participants will learn the importance of discipline and teamwork, but the overall emphasis is on fun.

Members of this elite team will receive many benefits. The first is participation in the Blue Lightning Dance/Cheer Clinic, which is a full-day event Sat., June 25 from 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. The clinic includes a performance for friends and family at 3:00 p.m.

Other benefits for those signing up for the Junior Dance Team include six evening practices that last one hour each. These practices will be held on Monday or Wednesday evenings from 6:30-7:30 p.m. The dates are June 27, July 11, July 27, August 8 and August 15.

Junior Dance Team members also have the chance to perform in the pre-game and at halftime of the Thurs., Aug. 19 game against the Ottawa Renegades.

Team members also receive a clinic T-shirt, a performance T-shirt and pom-poms, one ticket voucher to the Aug. 19 game, a 5" x 7" group photo, a certificate of membership and an autographed Blue Lightning poster.
