(Sugar Land, TX.) - The Southern Maryland Blue Crabs (6-10) won game two against the Sugar Land Skeeters (11-6) 4-2, behind a strong performance from starter Casey Delgado (1-1).

After a scoreless opening inning, the Blue Crabs got on the board first in the top of the second. Frank Martinez singled to lead off the frame, extending his hitting streak to 13 games. Martinez advanced to second on a groundout from Devon Rodriguez, setting up an RBI single from Jose Gonzalez to open the scoring on the day. They added another to the lead in the third inning, on a solo homerun from Ryan Strausborger, his second of the season.

The Blue Crabs added two more in the top of the fourth on a two-run homerun from Jose Gonzalez. That gave Delgado a comfortable 4-0 lead on the mound, and the right-hander continued to dominate with it. Delgado allowed just two hits through his five innings of work, while picking up five strikeouts.

Sugar Land finally got some offense going off the bullpen in the seventh, plating a pair of runs in the inning. Barrett Barnes started the inning by drawing a walk, heading to third on a double from Denis Phipps. After back-to-back outs, Anthony Giansanti doubled, scoring both runners and cutting the lead in half.

After a scoreless eighth, the Blue Crabs took their 4-2 lead into the bottom of the ninth. Ryan Chaffee (S,3) came on looking to notch the save. Chaffee walked Barnes to start the inning, before back-to-back outs got him within one run of finishing the game. Kyle Kubitza drew a walk to bring the winning run to the plate in Giansanti. Chaffe got Giansanti to fly out to deep center, wrapping up the tightly contested 4-2 ballgame with a Blue Crabs victory
