
Blue Comes up Short in Bakersfield

OKLAHOMA CITY, March 26, 2015 - The Oklahoma City Blue came up short against the Bakersfield Jam, 119-116, on Thursday despite seven Blue players scoring in double figures.
Semaj Christon led Oklahoma City with 22 points, nine assists and four rebounds. Frank Gaines notched 18 points and four assists and Dwight Buycks scored 16 points and pulled down 14 rebounds.
Chris Singleton shot 3-for-5 from behind the three-point line to end the night with 15 points and seven boards. Josh Huestis scored 14 points while Talib Zanna finished with 13 points and eight rebounds. Xavier Alexander added 12 points and five boards off the bench.
After trailing by 12 points in the opening quarter, Oklahoma City closed the first half with a 9-2 run to tie the game 59-59 at intermission. The Jam then outscored the Blue 28-23 in the third frame before Oklahoma City took its first lead of the game at 96-95 midway through the fourth.
After six leads changes over five minutes, the Jam outscored the Blue 7-4 in the final 90 seconds to hold off OKC.
The Blue (25-22) shot 51.2 percent from the floor and outrebounded the Jam 50-40.
Bakersfield (34-13) was led by Joe Jackson with 32 points and 16 assists.
