WILMINGTON, DE - The Grand Rapids Gold (3-3) sought redemption against the Delaware Blue Coats (3-2) on night two of back-to-back games, but ultimately fell short after a hard-fought back and forth battle that had 13 lead changes and 8 ties.

Guard Trevon Duval led the Gold with 19 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals. Nuggets two-way player Markus Howard added another 19 points, to go along with 2 rebounds and 5 assists, and Manny Camper hustled up a solid double-double with 16 points, 17 rebounds and 3 steals. Other Gold players in double digits were Marcus Burk (15 pts, 3 rebs 2 stls), Matt Ryan (15 pts, 4 rebs, 3 assists) and Tarik Black (13 pts, 9 rebs, 4 blocks).

The Philadelphia 76ers' assignment players Braxton Key and Jaden Springer were top performers for the Blue Coats this afternoon. Key led the team a double-double, tallying 31 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists and Springer followed up with 24 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assisots. Haywood Highsmith contributed another team double-double with 18 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists and 3 steals. Other Blue Coats in double digits were Shamorie Ponds (15 pts, 5 rebs, 6 assists, 2 stls), Shaquille Harrison (14 pts, 4 rebs and 6 assists) and Demarcus Holland (10 pts and 3 stls).

The Gold will head home to Grand Rapids to compete against their in-state rivals, the Motor City Cruise, on Thursday, January 20 at the DeltaPlex Arena. Tipoff is at 7 p.m. EST. Watch live on ESPN +.
