
Blue Bombers Sign Quarterback Levi Brown to Practice Roster

WINNIPEG, MB - September 4, 2013 - The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have signed import quarterback Levi Brown to their practice roster.
Brown (6-4, 225, Troy, DOB: March 11, 1987 in Mount Juliet, Tennessee) spent all of last season with the Saskatchewan Roughriders after being drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the seventh round (209th overall) of the 2010 NFL Draft. He served as the Bills' third string quarterback as a rookie and saw action in the team's final game, completing two of three pass attempts for 24 yards, before spending the following season on the practice roster.
After transferring to Troy following two seasons at the University of Richmond, Brown became the starting quarterback in his junior year and threw for 6,284 yards and 38 touchdowns in 23 games for the Trojans over the next two seasons. He was named the Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year as a senior after passing for a conference record 4,254 yards.
