
Blue Bombers Sign Defensive Lineman to Practice Roster

WINNIPEG, MB - The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have signed import defensive lineman Rodney Fritz to their practice roster today.
Fritz (6-1, 260, Tennessee State, DOB: May 8, 1987 in Kansas City, Missouri) signed with the Huntington Hammer of the Ultimate Indoor Football League this past winter after going undrafted in the 2010 NFL Draft. He led the Hammer defense in tackles for loss, was second on the team in sacks and recorded the most forced fumbles. Fritz became the first player from the UIFL to make the jump to the Arena Football League after signing with the Tulsa Talons. He transferred to Tennessee State as a junior from Los Angeles Pierce College where he was named to the Western State Conference First Team in 2007. At Tennessee State, Fritz played in eight games and recorded 10 tackles, including three sacks.
