Blue Bombers Lock Up Remainder Of 2008 Draft Class Of 2008 Draft Class

WINNIPEG, MB - The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have completed their rookie training camp roster by locking up the remainder of their 2008 draft class, while adding a Canadian offensive lineman, the club announced Wednesday.

The Blue Bombers have agreed to terms with wide receiver Aaron Hargreaves (2nd round, 15th overall), and defensive tackle Donald Oramasionwu (5th round, 39th overall). With the other four picks already signed, Blue Bombers general manager Brendan Taman has each selection from the 2008 draft secured heading into Wednesday's first rookie camp practice.

"We are pleased to have each of our selections here in Winnipeg to battle for a position on our roster," said Taman. "Now the focus of our entire team is taking care of our work on the field."

The Blue Bombers also agreed to terms with non-import offensive lineman Andy Hunter Wednesday.

Hargreaves (6-1, 215, DOB: Jan. 26, 1986 in Ladner, B.C.) was a 2007 Canada West all-star selection after a solid senior season with the Simon Fraser University Clan. He recorded 45 receptions for 556 yards and a touchdown, and was named SFU's most valuable player on offence the past two seasons. In 2006, Hargreaves was a first-time Canada West All-Star when he had 34 catches for 538 yards and three TDs.

Oramasionwu (6-3, 255, DOB: June 4, 1986 in Winnipeg, MB) collected 23 tackles, including three for losses, and two quarterback sacks for the Bisons in 2007. Oramasionwu (pronounced OH-RAM-EE-SEE-ON) was a member of the 2007 Vanier Cup champion University of Manitoba Bisons.

Hunter (6-6, 326, DOB: Sept. 1, 1983 in Uxbridge, ON) played with the Ashland College Eagles in the NCAA's division II ranks, competing in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. He attended the CFL Evaulation Camp in Toronto earlier this spring.

The Blue Bombers will open their 2008 rookie camp with the first practice on Wednesday, May 28. Veterans hit the field for two-a-days on June 1. All workouts are open to the public and will be held at Canad Inns Stadium.
