Blue Bombers Announce Details of Fan Appreciation Day During Banjo Bowl Weekend

WINNIPEG, MB - The Winnipeg Blue Bombers are once again pleased to announce details of Fan Appreciation Day which will be taking place on Saturday, September 8th of Manitoba Lotteries Banjo Bowl Weekend.

The day begins with fans invited to watch the Blue Bombers' walkthrough from 10:30am-11:10am which will then be followed by a team autograph session at approximately 11:30am. Fans are encouraged to arrive early enough as a line cut off may be in effect due to high number of attendance. Fans will each receive a free 2012 Blue Bomber team poster.

Doors to the stadium will open at 9am and fans will be able to participate in the Dunk-a-Rider dunk tank for the second year in a row. There will also be children's activities and inflatables located throughout the concourse and the Stars helicopter will also be on site.

Following the autograph session, local Winnipeg rock band The Watchmen and Saskatchewan rock band Northern Pikes will both be playing free concerts in the stadium for fans to enjoy at 12:45pm, sponsored by Power 97.

Later that night, the Blue Bomber Cheer Team will host their 2012-13 calendar launch party at Tijuana Night Club. Tickets for the event are available at the Blue Bomber office, by calling 784-2583.

Banjo Bowl weekend kicks off on Friday, September 7th at the Upperdeck Sports Bar at McPhillips Station Casino from 7pm-9pm with players and coaches in attendance to mingle with the fans. The Banjo Bowl trophy will be on hand and fans can enter contests throughout the evening to win Blue Bomber merchandise.

All these events ultimately lead up to the Manitoba Lotteries Banjo Bowl, taking place on Sunday, September 9th at 12Noon when the Winnipeg Blue Bombers square off against the Saskatchewan Roughriders in a rematch of the Labour Day Classic.
