WINNIPEG, MB - The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have acquired non-import receiver Jabari Arthur, import receiver Titus Ryan, defensive lineman Odell Willis and two 2010 draft picks (fourth and sixth rounds) from the Calgary Stampeders in exchange for import receiver Romby Bryant and non-import receiver Arjei Franklin.

Arthur (6-4, 225, Akron '07, DOB: August 28, 1982 in Montreal, QC) was the Stamps first pick (sixth) overall in the 2007 CFL Draft. Arthur attended Akron University from 2003 to 2007. In 2007, he was named player of the month for October and was the Fred Sefton Award recipient for offensive performance. Arthur was a nominee for the James Horrigan Male Athlete of the Year award. He established Zips records for receptions (184) and yards (2,653).

Ryan (6-0, 190, Akron '07, DOB: June 19, 1984 in Tuscaloosa, AL) is a proven kick returner, leading the league in kick return yards with 984 and one touchdown. In addition, he has returned 42 punts for 315 yards this season. He also has recorded seven receptions for 111 yards and one touchdown.

Willis (6-2, 265, West Georgia '08, DOB: December 28, 1984 in Meridian, MS) is in his first season in the CFL. He leads all rookies in sacks with six, while also compiling a total of 12 tackles and two forced fumbles. He played for both the Peoria Pirates and the Green Bay Blizzard of Arena Football League 2 in 2008. Willis played four seasons for the University of West Georgia and totaled 126 tackles, 20.5 sacks and six forced fumbles for the Braves. He was twice an All-Gulf South Conference selection.

"We feel that with this trade we have improved our team both immediately and in the future. Arthur has the potential to be a great Canadian receiver, while Willis has proven he can play at this level and make an impact. And with a guy like Titus, he gives us an immediate return threat that we are looking for," said director of player personnel John Murphy.
