Stamps add to practice roster

Calgary Stampeders head coach and general manager John Hufnagel is pleased to announce that import receiver Chris Davis and import quarterback Adam DiMichele have been added to the practice roster.

Davis has spent parts of four seasons in the Canadian Football League. The five-foot-10, 180-pounder has played in 17 CFL games and has recorded 63 catches for 751 yards and five touchdowns. In 2009, Davis had 34 grabs for 440 yards and two scores with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats before being released on Sept. 16. He has also spent time with the Montreal Alouettes and National Football League's New York Jets and Tennessee Titans.

DiMichele attended training camp with the National Football League's Philadelphia Eagles in 2009. The six-foot-one, 202-pounder was a three-year starter for the Temple Owls and during his career he completed 407 of 674 attempts for a 60.3 per cent success rate. He threw for 5,024 yards, 40 touchdowns and 28 interceptions. He also rushed for five touchdowns. During his senior season, he threw for 1,911 yards, 18 touchdowns and only six interceptions. Prior to Temple, he attended Okaloosa-Walton Junior College.

The next Stamps home game is Sept. 25 against the BC Lions. Kickoff is 8 p.m. at McMahon Stadium.
