March 2, 2009 - arenafootball2 (af2)
Green Bay Blizzard News Release

Green Bay Blizzard franchise wide receiver and linebacker, Robert "Superman" Garth, has been selected as the 10th best ironman in arenafootball2 league history. Garth is a fan favorite in Green Bay and holds career records for receptions, receiving yards, receiving touchdowns and scoring for the Blizzard. He also holds the single season receiving touchdown record by scoring 26 touchdowns during the season.

While being honored to be selected to the top 10 ironman list Garth said, "I feel I could have been higher on the list but have a lot of re- spect for the guys ahead of me, especially (Will) Pettis, (Tim) Dodge and (Jack) Walker Jr." One advantage of his number 10 ranking is that it matches his favorite jersey number, 10, which he wore most of his time with the Blizzard.

On his way to earning this recognition Garth played in many big games and made many big plays over the years. Topping his list of big games included the battle with the Louisville Fire in 2006 for the American Conference Championship where Garth made some big catches, including a standout touchdown reception on the way to a Blizzard 54-53 win. Also the ArenaCup game in Puerto Rico against the Spokane Shock was a memorable game and experience.

Garth expresses his gratitude to people who helped him along the way, "I would like to thank the many quarterbacks and coaches I've had over the years but specifcally Brian Noble, Bob Landsee, Mark Stoute, Rob Miller and Jim Kraft." The Blizzard congratulates "Superman" on his achieve- ment and look forward to seeing more of him this season.
