
Blizzard Win Big 4-1 over Wings

The Aberdeen Wings lost their 6th straight on the road Saturday taking on the Brookings Blizzard 4-1.
The Wings scored 3 goals in the final three minutes of Friday night's game, but the start of Saturday's would prove to be a pace setter for Brookings. At the 7:30 mark, Blizzards' Tyler Berndt would score making it 1-0 Brookings. Much of the first period would be controlled by the Blizzard.
In the second period, the Wings got some momentum with a goal scored by #18 Austin Swingle (F-St. Cloud, MN) with assists from #10 Tanner Okeson (D-Roseau, MN) and #17 Will Hammer (F-St. Cloud, MN). Later in the period, the Blizzard would get the lead back with a goal from their captain Beau Michaud making it 2-1.
The third period would be all Brookings. On the power play, the Brookings Blizzard 6'6" defenseman Eddie Eades would blast a slap shot goal from the blue line making it 3-1. Midway through the period, the Blizzard would get another goal, this time from Kevin Shand.
The Wings would fall in the contest 4-1, dropping their 6th straight.
