Green Bay Blizzard News Release


After a huge win on the road over the #6-ranked Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers, the Green Bay Blizzard remained at #7 in this week's af2 Coaches Poll. The 3-1 Blizzard travels to Arkansas to play the 0-4 Twisters, who last week replaced fired Head Coach Gary Anderson with former 2-time af2 "Coach of the Year" John Gregory. With a win at Arkansas, the Blizzard would set up a battle for the Division lead against the 4-0 Louisville Fire at home on Saturday, May 14th at 7:00pm at the Resch Center.

The Blizzard plays in the Eastern Division of the American Conference, which includes 4 of the league's top 7 teams:

#2 Louisville
#4 Manchester
#6 Wilkes-Barre/Scranton
#7 Green Bay

After this Saturday's game against the Twisters, the Blizzard will play each of the other Eastern Division's ranked teams in 4 of their next 6 games, as well as the #5-ranked Quad City Steamwheelers, whom the Blizzard defeated in the preseason.

Upcoming events:

May 14 vs. Louisville Fire – Old School Football Night, sponsored by Oneida Casino. The first 1,000 fans age 21 and over will receive an imitation leather old-school football helmet. The full size leather helmet giveaway will be the first of its kind.
