Yard Dawgz travel to take on Memphis Xplorers

OKLAHOMA CITY - The Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz (2-3) will travel to take on the Midwest Division leading Memphis Xplorers (4-1) this Saturday, May 7th at the DeSoto Civic Center in Southaven, Mississippi. The Yard Dawgz are coming off of a 47-34 loss at the hands of the Tulsa Talons and are looking forward to a great match-up against Memphis.

"Memphis is a great football team with six guys that give them a really good pass rush," said Yard Dawgz head coach Jeff Jarnigan. "The key to this game for us will be to protect our quarterback and really get after theirs."

Offensive specialist Kevin Prentiss leads the Xplorers. Prentiss is leading the league in scoring, all-purpose yards, receiving yards, and kick return touchdowns. Defensively, Khreem Smith leads the Xplorers. Smith is leading the af2 in sacks with 9.

Oklahoma City will be facing the Xplorers for the first time in franchise history this weekend. The Xplorers will make the return trip to face the Yard Dawgz in the Ford Center on Friday, June 24th.

YARD DAWGZ NOTES: The Yard Dawgz will enjoy their bye week next weekend, May 14th, before returning home to the friendly confines of the Ford Center on May 21st to take on the Bossier-Shreveport Battlewings...Fans may look at a seating map by visiting www.okcyarddawgz.com
