Green Bay Blizzard News Release

GREEN BAY, WI - The Green Bay Blizzard hosted the Quad City Steamwheelers on Friday for their third time facing off this season.

The Blizzard opened the scoresheets in the fourth minute of play when Keshaun Taylor caught an 11-yard pass from Jack Sheehan. Later on, in the first quarter, Green Bay's Momodou Mbye and Carl Robertgeau forced a fumble leading Bakari Triggs to recover the ball, running it to the 1-yard line. With 12:45 left in the first half James Brown and Kyree Campell from the Blizzard had a combined sack on EJ Hillard. Quad City's Nate Sheets caught an interception with 9:04 left in the half. Quad City tied the game up when Jacob Stytz caught a 3-yard pass from EJ Hillard. Closing out the scoring of the first half.

Tim Whitfield brought the Blizzard back into the lead with a 14-yard run. Quad City was quick to respond when Robert Jones caught a 16-yard pass from EJ Hillard just under four minutes later. However James Brown from the Blizzard blocked the field goal attempt to keep the Blizzard in the lead by one point. Jack Sheehan looked to extend Green Bay's lead, even more, when he ran the ball 6-yards to score a touchdown just ten seconds into the fourth quarter. Green Bay wasn't done yet, with Keshaun Taylor scoring his second touchdown of the night by catching a 33-yard pass from Jack Sheehan. With a 47-yard field goal, Nick Jaworski sealed the win for Green Bay, the final score being 31-13 in favor of the Blizzard.
