Blizzard Assigned Garth and Eugene

The Green Bay Blizzard has been assigned WR/LB Robert Garth and QB Bruce Eugene by the af2 League Office.

Superman returns to the Blizzard for his fifth season with the team. Garth played for the team from the inaugural season in 2003 to the af2 American Conference Championship team in 2006. Garth is the all-time franchise career leader in multiple categories including scoring (478 points), receptions (200), receiving yards (2,884 yards) and receiving touchdowns (72). Garth also holds franchise single season records of scoring (178 points in 2004) and receiving touchdowns (26 in 2004).

"We are very excited to have a veteran like Robert back on the team," explains Blizzard Assistant Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator Mark Stoute on Garth returning to the team. "He brings great leadership and a tremendous athletic ability."

Bruce Eugene joins the Blizzard for his rookie year in the af2. Eugene played his college ball at Grambling where he finished his career third in touchdown passes (140) and fourth in passing yards (13,513) in NCAA history. His career stats at Grambling are very impressive. With his 13,513 passing yards and 140 touchdowns, he started 38 career games where he earned a record of 30-8, rushed for 1,657 yards and 19 rushing touchdowns. In his senior season Eugene threw for 56 touchdowns, which ties him for third in NCAA history for a single season.

The Blizzard will take on the Peoria Pirates in a Midwest Division game on Friday, May 30th at US Cellular Field at the Resch Center. The night features a Brian Noble bobblehead giveaway sponsored by Fox Communities Credit Union and a celebrity jersey raffle, with proceeds going to A Noble Cause.
