
Blizzard Announce Tryout

Green Bay Blizzard News Release
The Green Bay Blizzard and Head Coach Rik Richards announced today that the team will hold their first tryout of the season on Friday December 18th in nearby De Pere, WI. The tryout will take place at the Sports Emporium located at 1865 Nimitz Drive in De Pere. Registration and warm-up will begin at 8:00am with the tryout starting at 9:00am. The registration fee to tryout is $40 (cash or credit card only)within the next eight days or $60 at the door. The entry deadline will be Friday December 11th.
The Sports Emporium is a state-of-the-art indoor sports facility with professional field turf on two fields. Athletes of all skill levels are encouraged to tryout and live their dream of becoming a professional football player. Players must bring their own workout attire for the indoor facility and must be 18 years of age or older to tryout. Be prepared to be evaluated in the following drills: 40-yard dash, 20-yard shuttle, four cone drill, standing broad jump, agility drills, position-specific drills and 8-on-8. This tryout will NOT include kickers ; the Blizzard will hold additional tryouts for kickers as well as positional players. Dates and times are yet to be determined. Newly hired head coach Rik Richards is excited to start building his first Blizzard roster.

He also commented that "We are very excited to announce our first tryout for the 2010 season; you simply don't know where the next great player will come from."
