
IFL Continues To Grow

San Angelo Stampede Express News Release
The Indoor Football League has grown over its 2009 off season. The IFL is now 26 teams strong. Returning to the league are: San Angelo Stampede Express, Abilene Ruff Riders, Alaska Wild, Billings Outlaws, Bloomington Extreme, Colorado Ice, Corpus Christi Hammerheads, El Paso Generals, Fairbanks Grizzlies, Maryland Maniacs, Odessa Roughnecks, Omaha Beef, Rochester Raiders, Sioux City Bandits, Sioux Falls Storm, West Michigan Thunderhawks, and Wichita Wild.
In addition to the returning teams, the IFL has added 8 new franchises to the continuously expanding league. Among these new franchises are 3 expansion teams: Arctic Predators (Wisilla, AK), La Crosse Spartans, and the Richmond Revolution. Six teams make the transition from other leagues: Amarillo Dusters, Arkansas Twisters, Austin Turfcats, Chicago Slaughter, Green Bay Blizzard, and Tri-Cities Fever.
With the growth of the IFL, that will make the Lonestar Division 8 teams strong. The Lonestar Division will consist of 7 Texas Teams: San Angelo Stampede Express, Abilene Ruff Riders, Corpus Christi Hammerheads, El Paso Generals, Odessa Roughnecks, Amarillo Dusters, and Austin Turfcats. And joining into the Lonestar Division will be the Arkansas Twisters. With the number of teams in the Lonestar Division, this will mean that each team should only play each other twice and will crown a true Lonestar Division Champion.
The Stampede Express will begin their 7th season. Tickets are on sale now by calling the Stampede Express office at 947-DOWN or come by the Stampede Express office at 2210 Austin. Stampede Express Football, It's not just a game....It's an experience!
