KENT9 - The Kamloops Blazers defeated the Seattle Thunderbirds 8-1 Wednesday night at the Sandman Centre.
The T-Birds travel to Spokane to play the Chiefs on Friday at 7pm. They are back home at accesso ShoWare Center on Saturday at 6:05pm. Single game tickets are on sale online on the T-Birds website and at the accesso ShoWare Center box office.
Kamloops took a 1-0 lead on a goal by Kyrell Sopotyk at 4:38 of the first period.
Seattle tied the game 1-1 at 9:43 of the first. The puck bounced off Henrik Rybinski to Simon Kubicek at the mid-point. Kubicek took a slap shot with Conner Roulette stationed in front of Kamloops goalie Dylan Garand. Roulette tipped the shot from Kubicek over Garand and just under the cross bar. The goal was Roulette's first as a T-Bird.
In the second period the Blazers got goals from Brodi Stuart on the power play, Sopotyk, Connor Zary on the power play, Sean Strange and Martin Lang to take a 6-1 lead after 40 minutes.
Orrin Centazzo scored Kamloops seventh goal 11 seconds into the third period and eighth goal at 15:18 of the third.
The T-Birds are now taking orders for Flex-24 Ticket packages. Fans that purchase the 24-Flex Ticket Package will be able to select any available premium seat for any game, in any ticket combination, during the 2019-20 season.
