
Blaze WR Chris Francies Earns League Honors

SALT LAKE CITY - The Utah Blaze are proud to announce that the Arena Football League's Cutter's Catch of the Week Award has been awarded to WR Chris Francies (6-2, 205, UTEP) for his touchdown reception helping seal the team's first victory of the season.
Last week versus the Battlewings, Francies recorded seven receptions for 97 yards and two touchdowns. He also returned one kickoff for nine yards. So far this season, Francies has tallied 27 receptions for 329 yards and five touchdowns. Defensively, he has tallied 7.0 total tackles.
The Blaze will be back in action following their bye week to take on the Milwaukee Irons in a nationally televised game on the NFL Network on Friday, May 14. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. MT. The game will also be broadcasted through NiftyTV, which can be downloaded through www.arenafootball.com . The Blaze's next home game is set for Saturday, May 28 versus the Arizona Rattlers.
