SALT LAKE CITY - The Utah Blaze has been assigned wide receiver Jeremy Kelley, the team announced today. Kelley brings professional experience after playing with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League in 2011. After participating in practice via a pair of one-day waivers, he was handed a contract.

"Jeremy Kelley is a big, physical wide receiver with very good hands," said President & Head Coach Ron James. "He's another example of a player who came for an in-season workout and earned a spot on the active roster. We are eager to see what he adds to an already strong group of wide receivers."

Kelley (6-6, 230, Maine) played four seasons at the University of Maine, where he contributed in multiple facets of the game. Primarily a wide receiver, he also saw action at defensive end and on special teams with the Black Bears. Following his collegiate career, Kelley was signed by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats entering the 2011 season and caught two passes for 15 yards with the team last fall.
