
SaberCats Look to Grab Control of the West Divison

SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San Jose SaberCats (6-2) return home from a 77-70 victory on the road against their bitter rivals, the Arizona Rattlers and will host the Utah Blaze (6-2). This will be the 'Cats second meeting of the season with the Blaze after a nail biting 60-59 defeat in Salt Lake City in Week 3 on March 24. Friday's game kicks off at 7:30 p.m. PT from HP Pavilion, and the first 5,000 fans in attendance will receive a black SaberCats hat, courtesy of LG.
Both teams enter Week 10 at or near the top of a variety of statistical categories, as San Jose is first in the Arena Football League in total offense, passing offense, sacks (23), opponent's fourth down conversion percentage and first downs. They are also second in the AFL in scoring offense at 66.5 points per contest, while Utah ranks third in scoring (64.6 points per game) and passing offense, while fourth in total offense, second in sacks (21) and tied with San Jose for first in first downs.
