Blast to start training camp September 15

Baltimore – The Baltimore Blast will open training camp for the 2004-05 MISL season on Wednesday, September 15. The Blast will train Monday through Friday at 10 a.m. at Du Burns Arena leading up to the team's home opener on Saturday, October 16 at 1st Mariner Arena. The opponent for opening night will be announced on Wednesday along with the 2004-05 MISL schedule.

The back-to-back MISL Champions will enter the season behind the veteran leadership of Danny Kelly, Lee Tschantret, Tarik Walker, Denison Cabral, David Bascome and Chris Handsor. Tim Wittman returns for his second year as head coach and Baltimore natives P.J. Wakefield, Billy Nelson and Giuliano Celenza will also be on the field to defend the team's MISL Titles.

The Blast will participate in two preseason games, the first of which will be against the Philadelphia KiXX on Tuesday, September 28 at Tri-State Sports at 7 p.m. Tri-State Sports, the practice facility for the KiXX, is located in Aston, Pa. A preseason game at Du Burns Arena against the KiXX will be announced soon. Tickets for the game on the 28th are available by calling the KiXX office at 1-888-888-KiXX.

All Blast practices during the preseason and regular season are open to the public, with no admission fee. A complete training camp schedule is listed below. Practice times and location are subject to change; please call the Blast office to confirm.

The MISL is set to release the 2004-05 full season schedule on September 15. Blast season tickets and mini-plans are on sale now by calling the Blast office at 410-73-BLAST. Single-game tickets will go on sale in mid-September. Tickets will cost $20 and $17 and will be available at the 1st Mariner Arena Box Office and can also be ordered by calling TicketMaster at 410-547-SEAT or online at www.ticketmaster.com.
