
Force midfielder selected All-League

TAMPA, FLA. - Cleveland Force midfielder Justin Evans of the Charleston Battery has been selected second-team All-A-League Team. Evans was one of the 22 players honored by the A-League for their performances this season as voted by team coaches and general managers.
Justin joins three other Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) players on the All-League team as Greg Howes (Milwaukee Wave), Nevio Pizzolitto (San Diego Sockers) and Johnny Torres (Milwaukee Wave) were also selected.
Evans returned to the Battery this season after playing last season with the Pittsburgh Riverhounds. This season for the Charleston, Justin appeared and started in all 30 games while recording three assists. Evans was second on the team in minutes played with 2,831. During the 2002 campaign, he led the Battery in minutes played with 2,618 scoring 4 goals and adding 2 assists.
Evans and the rest of the Force veterans will report to training camp later this month in preparation for the 2004-05 MISL season. Last year, Justin served as the team captain and was voted Most Valuable Player.
