
Blast Defeats Roar on Friday Night

The Pennsylvania Roar visited Baltimore, Friday February 21st for the team's fifth matchup of the season. The Blast improved their record to 14-3 with a 23-6 win against the Roar.
After a scoreless first quarter, Lucas Roque, from the Baltimore Blast, scored a three point goal 3:58 into the game to give the Blast a 3-0 lead. Mike Lookingland assisted Tony Donatelli for the second Blast goal. At half time, the Blast were ahead 5-0.
Blast's Adauto Neto scored the first goal in the third quarter, assisted by Diego Zuniga 1:29 into the second half. The Blast extended their lead with a goal scored by Levi Houapeu and assisted by J.T. Noone. Minutes later, Diego Zuniga, assisted by Tony Donatelli, brought the score to 11-0. Roar's, Jordan Thomas, got his team on the board first, 6:54 into the quarter with an assist from Angel Rivillo-Riuz*.* Shortly after Angel Rivillo-Riuz helped the Roar to their second goal of the night when he assisted Kingsley Onwuka. The Blast bounced back with a goal from Tony Donatelli, assisted by Adauto Neto. On a restart, Mike Lookingland added another goal for the Blast and helped the Blast to a 15-4 lead at the end of the third quarter.
Adriano Dos Santos got the Blast going early in the fourth quarter with a 3-point goal. The Blast added another 3-point goal 3:33 into the four quarter from Max Ferdinand, also unassisted. Shortly after, J.T. Noone extended the Blast lead to 23-4, and Adauto Neto assisted his second goal of the night. With ten minutes remaining in the final quarter, Kyle Martyn scored for the Roar off an assist from Angel Rivillo-Ruiz. At the final whistle the Blast improved their record to 14-3 and beat the Roar 23-6.
The Blast were led offensively by Tony Donatelli, who had 2 goals and 1 assist in tonight's victory against the Roar. Adauto Neto also attributed 1 goal and 2 assists, lifting the Blast to a 23-6 victory. Troy Hernandez improves his personal record to 4-0, protecting the goal with 3 saves, while the Baltimore defense only allowed 3 goals.
The Baltimore Blast takes on the Syracuse Silver Knights tomorrow night, February 22nd at home at 6:05pm for the fourth matchup of the year.Syracuse are 10-7 and are trying to secure the third seed in the playoff. Kenardo Forbes leads the Knights with 55 points and Machel Millwood has 51. The Silver Knights are coached by Tommy Tanner.
