St. Charles, MO - The Milwaukee Wave defeated the St. Louis Ambush 20-9 Friday night (February 21) at the Family Arena. The win improved the first-place Wave's record to 15-2 and dropped the Ambush's record to 4-13.
First quarter goals by J.C. Banks, Marcio Leite and Nicholas Perera gave the Wave a 6-2 lead at the end of the period. Matt Kimball scored the lone tally for St. Louis.
Each team found the back of the net once in the second quarter. Jeff DiMaria answered for St. Louis and Pat McSheehy scored a three-pointer for the Ambush before the Wave responded with goals from Ian Bennett and two from Luan Oliveira to give Milwaukee a 20-9 lead going into the final stanza. Neither team scored in the fourth quarter, closing the door on St. Louis and sealing the win for Milwaukee.
