Blast Defeat Seawolves 7-0

Orlando, FL - The Blast traveled to Orlando Thursday night looking to avenge an early season loss in the Silver Spurs Arena and came away with a 7-0 victory.

The Blast would strike first with a goal from Richard Schmermund after an Orlando turnover at the 3:52 mark. Five minutes later, Victor France would capitalize on another SeaWolves turnover to give the Blast a 2-0 lead. Kalou would extend the Blast lead to 3-0 at the 13:56 mark. Tony Donatelli would score the lone goal of the second quarter off a feed from Vini Dantas to give the Blast a 4-0 lead heading into halftime.

The third quarter saw back and forth action between both teams before Jamie Thomas found the back of the net with one second to play and the Blast went into the final quarter with a commanding 5-0 lead. Jonatas Melo added to the lead with a goal at the 4:18 mark and Lucas Roque followed with a goal from half field off another Orlando turnover to give the Blast all the scoring they needed. Blast goalie William Vanzela recorded 5 saves on his way to his second shutout of the season.

The Blast improve to 7-6 on the season and travel to Rochester, NY tomorrow night to take on the Lancers. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:05pm from the Soccerdome. Be sure to tune in to MASL TV and follow the Blast on social media for scores and updates.
