St. Louis Ambush News Release
St. Charles, MO - For the second weekend in a row, the St. Louis Ambush (6-7) will play back-to-back road games. This weekend's journey puts the team in the state of New York, where they will tangle with Utica City FC (7-3) on Friday night at 6:00 p.m. CST, followed by a visit to Rochester (0-11) to duel the Lancers on Saturday evening at 6:00 p.m. CST.
The Ambush split last weekend's road games, defeating the Orlando SeaWolves 8-7 on Friday night, followed by a 7-1 loss to the Florida Tropics on Saturday.
Utica should be well-rested as they haven't played since visiting the Ambush at the Family Arena on January 19. St. Louis and Utica are 1-1 in head-to-head contests this season and Friday's match will be the final meeting between the two teams during the 2019-20 regular season.
Rochester last played on Sunday, when they lost 12-4 on the road to the Kansas City Comets. Like the Ambush, the Lancers will also play back-to-back games this weekend, albeit at home. Rochester will host the Baltimore Blast on Friday night, then the Ambush on Saturday. Saturday's game is the only one slated between the Ambush and Lancers for the 2019-20 regular season.
Following this weekend's visit to the Empire State, the Ambush return home to the Family Arena on Saturday, February 8, when the Harrisburg Heat come to town for a 7:05 p.m. CST matchup. The February 8 game will also honor the 25^th Anniversary of the 1995 NPSL Champion Ambush team with alumni players on hand to sign autographs and the current Ambush raising a tribute banner inside the Family Arena.
Single game tickets for the rest of the 2019-20 season are on sale and can be purchased at the Family Arena box office or at ticketmaster.com. Groups of 10 or more can purchase their discounted tickets by calling the Ambush office at 636-477-6363.
