
Blast Defeat Heat

Baltimore Blast News Release
The Blast traveled to Harrisburg for a MASL Eastern Division matchup on Saturday afternoon. The Blast were able to defeat the Heat 9-2 behind a strong team performance.
The Blast gained an early lead in the first quarter. Vini Dantas, who leads the team in goals, got the scoring started with his 7th goal of the season assisted by Jinho Kim. At the 5:45 mark Levi Houapeu recorded his 3rd goal of the season off of Tony Donatelli's 3rd assist of the year. At the end of the first the Blast led 2-0.
The Blast controlled possession and extended their lead in the second. Tony Donatelli found the back of the net off an assist from Adriano Dos Santos to put the Blast up 3 with 10 minutes remaining in the quarter. Blast Goalkeeper, William Vanzela, recorded 7 saves in the half and the Blast led 3-0 at the break.
The Heat started the second half with back to back goals to cut the Blast lead to one. The Heat goals were recorded by Chris Hall and Patrick Thompson. The Blast would respond with 3 consecutive goals. At the 8:09 mark Levi Houapeu recorded his second goal of the game assisted by Tony Donatelli, which put momentum back in the Blast favor. Onua Obasi scored off an assist from Pat Healey and then Andrew Hoxie recorded his 6th goal of the season of an assist from Uzi Tayou. The Blast entered the final quarter leading 6-2.
To start the fourth quarter two Blast players recorded their first goals of the season. Juan Pereira found the back of the net off an assist from Vini Dantas and seconds later Jinho Kim scored to push the Blast lead to 6. At the 6:29 mark Andrew Hoxie scored his second goal of the game off an assist from Jinho Kim.
The final score was Blast 11 Heat 1.
The Blast move to 4-0 on the season. Andrew Hoxie and Levi Houapeu lead the offense with 2 goals each while Tony Donatelli added a goal and 2 assists. Goalkeeper, William Vanzela, recorded 20 saves. The Blast will return home Friday, December 4th, to host the San Diego Sockers at 7:35p.m. from the Royal Farms Arena.
