SYRACUSE, New York - The Syracuse Silver Knights (2-1, #2 Eastern Division) knocked off the Dallas Sidekicks (0-3, #5 Pacific Division) 9-5 at home to win their second straight.

Midway through the first quarter Slavisa Ubiparipovic opened the scoring to put the Knights up 1-0. The forward attacked from the left side before playing a one-two pass with Jer Jer Gibson. Ubiparipovic collected Gibson's' layoff and then slid his shot passed Dallas goalie Juan Gamboa.

Just seconds after the Ubiparipovic opener, Antonio Manfut doubled the Knights' lead. The forward volleyed home a rebound right in the middle of the attacking zone making the score 2-0 Syracuse.

With 1:25 to play in the opening quarter the Sidekicks got on the scoreboard. Following a Corey Elenio foul, Dallas defender Cody Ellis scored his third goal of the season from a set piece. Ellis ripped his shot from just outside Bryan O'Quinn's box and it beat the Knights' wall to put the score at 2-1 in favor of the Orange, Silver and Black.

Early in the third quarter the Knights added to their lead through Garrett Losee. The defender ripped a shot from the middle after receiving a pass from Nate Bourdeau. Losee's shot rifled off of the post and passed Gamboa to put the Knights up 4-2.

Just seconds later Manfut scored his second goal of the game from another Bourdeau assist making the score 6-2 Knights. The Syracuse attacking duo passed the ball around Gamboa before Manfut tapped in the Knight's sixth goal of the match. Manfut finished with a team leading three goals on the night.

After the game hat trick hero Antonio Manfut said the Knight's success comes down to the team having fun.

"Our team's having a good time. We're getting opportunities from a lot of people who haven't [played] in the past and our team's just playing well."

Manfut added he loves helping the Knights win.

"If they come to me, I'm happy with [my team] of course, any time I score or assist. As long as I help my team win, it's fine with me."

The Salt City club takes on division opponents in their next two games. Next Friday the Knights travel to Detroit to take on the Waza Flo (2-3, #3 Eastern Division). Syracuse beat Detroit 9-4 from the War Memorial November 20th.
