Blast Defeat Harrisburg 4-2, Led by 2 points each from Donatelli and Dantas

The Blast defeat the Heat 4-2 in an Eastern Division matchup. Tony Donatelli scored two goals for the Blast. Elmo Neto had two goals for Harrisburg.

The game got off to a quick start, with each team scoring in the first 1:11 of the game. Elmo Neto got Harrisburg on the board 46 seconds into the game. The Blast would answer with a goal by Marco Nascimento 25 seconds later. The Blast would then score two straight power play goals. Goals by Tony Donatelli and Vini Dantas gave the Blast a 3-1 lead. The defenses held strong the rest of the half, as the game would go to halftime at 3-1.

The strong defensive play continued to start the second half. Both teams limited scoring chances, and neither team was able to score in the 3rd quarter. The teams would then trade power play goals in the 4th quarter. Tony Donatelli scored his second of the game for the Blast to put the Blast up 4-1. Elmo Neto scored his second goal of the game for the Heat to make it a 4-2 game. The Blast defense held strong after that, for a final score of 4-2.

The win is the 7th straight for the Blast. The Blast went 3-3 on the power play while Harrisburg was 1-1 on the power play. Vini Dantas had one goal and one assist for the Blast and goalkeeper Joey Kapinos recorded 12 saves in the game. Pat Healey had 8 blocked shots for Baltimore. Harrisburg goalkeeper Hugo Silva had nine saves in the game.

The Blast are back in action next Saturday, February 3rd when they host the Syracuse Silver Knights at SECU Arena at 6:05 p.m. EST.
