Baltimore Blast News Release
Baltimore - Baltimore Blast President and General Manager Kevin Healey announced today that forward Adriano Dos Santos will return to the Blast this season and that the team has signed defender Mike Deasel and midfielder JT Noone, pending league approval. The MISL will kick off this week with a home-and-home series between the Wichita Wings and Missouri Comets on Thursday and Friday and the Syracuse Silver Knights will host the Rochester Lancers on Friday. The Blast will open the season on November 12 against the Syracuse Silver Knights at 1st Mariner Arena.
Dos Santos, who played two games for the Blast during the 2009-10 season, previously played professional outdoor soccer for the Miami FC Blues (USL). He missed a portion of the 2009-10 season after dislocating his shoulder. Deasel, a Baltimore native who attended Loyola Blakefield High School and Loyola University, played club soccer for the Baltimore Bays and was a member of three Baltimore Bays National Championship club teams. A two-time All-MACC Second-Team and MAAC All-Tournament team selection, Deasel will be making his professional debut this season.
Noone, who spent the last two seasons with the Harrisburg City Islanders (USL), played college soccer at Temple University. He was a Second-Team All-America in 2008 and an NSCAA First-Team All-Atlantic Region selection in 2009. Noone was also signed by the Philadelphia Union (MLS) from July 2010 to March 2011 and spent the 2009 season with the Ocean City Barons (PDL).
"These are three additions to the squad that we hope will be able to contribute right away," said head coach Danny Kelly.
