
Blanco and Segares Called up for World Cup Qualifier

CHICAGO, IL (July 29, 2009) - Chicago Fire players Cuauhtémoc Blanco (Mexico) and Gonzalo Segares (Costa Rica) have been called to serve with their respective national teams for World Cup Qualifying matches on August 12th. Blanco and Segares will both report to their national teams on August 7th and therefore will be available for the Chicago Fire's match this Saturday, August 1st, against Real Salt Lake at TOYOTA PARK (7:30 p.m. CT, My50 Chicago) as well as the SuperLiga 2009 Final against Tigres UANL on Wednesday, August 5th also at TOYOTA PARK (7 p.m., TeleFutura).
Blanco and Mexico will take on the U.S. Men's National team on Saturday, August 12th at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City, Mexico (3 p.m. CT, Telemundo) while Segares and Costa Rica will face Honduras in San Pedro Sula on the same day (8:30 p.m. CT)
