
Blades Tab Nobili As Next Assistant Coach

Estero, FL - The Florida Everblades announced this morning that Jason Nobili is the Everblades third assistant coach in franchise history. He joins Florida after a four year coaching career with the Owen Sound Attack of the Ontario Hockey League where he served as the assistant coach under former Flyers assistant Mike Stothers.
Both Everblades Head Coach Gerry Fleming and President/General Manager Craig Brush touted Nobili's communication and technical coaching skills along with his teaching background, "Jason is a great communicator and has coached in the Junior 'A' ranks for the past few years, he brings a different angle to coaching and I look forward to working with him this season," stated Fleming. Brush had this to say about Nobili, "Jason is a very solid technical coach who has a great resume, he and Gerry will form a great team."
The thirty-one year old Nobili brings a ten year coaching career to the Blades including coaching stops with the history laden Toronto Red Wings of the Greater Toronto Hockey League and Ajax Axemen of the OHA Tier "II" Junior 'A' League. In the fall of 2002, Nobili served as the Associate Coach for Team Ontario in the 2003 Canadian Winter Games and helped guide them to a bronze medal. In the spring of 2003, was the Associate Coach for the Under-17 Team Ontario/Canada. The team competed at the 2004 Under-17 World Championship and helped capture Ontario's first gold medal in eight years.
Nobili also is the Director of Training for Huron Hockey Schools at Ice Gardens and Cross Roads Pro/College camps in Toronto, Canada during the off season. He and his wife, Marianne, will relocate to Southwest Florida in the next few weeks.
