Tonight...
The Blades return home for the first time in over two weeks after going 3-1-1-0 on a road trip through the BC Division. Saskatoon is coming off a 5-4 OT win last Saturday in Kelowna, looking to fend off the Warriors who are two points behind the Blades in the East Division. Moose Jaw comes in as one of the hottest teams in the WHL with an 8-1-1-0 record in their last 10 outings.
This is only the second of six meetings between the Blades and Warriors this season. Saskatoon leads the season series 1-0 thanks to a 5-2 win in Moose Jaw back on November 2nd. Max Gerlach (2G) and Kirby Dach (1G-1A) each had 2 points... Dorrin Luding picked up the win in goal. The Blades hold the edge in combined special teams success rate with a 104%, Moose Jaw's is 95.5%.
The last game...
Dawson Davidson (5,6) scored twice including the OT winner on Saturday in a 5-4 win in Kelowna over the Rockets. The Blades also got goals from Gary Haden (7), Tristen Robins (4), and Brandon Schuldhaus (3). Nolan Maier made 29 saves for his 14th win of the season.
Moose Jaw is winless in their last two games; coming off a 6-5 OTL on Wednesday to the Medicine Hat Tigers.
Who's hot...
Kristian Roykas-Marthinsen has 7 points in his last 8 games but the Blades will be without his services as he is away representing Norway at the 2019 World Jr Division I tournament in Germany... Dawson Davidson has 8 points in his last 7 games... Max Gerlach has 5 points in his last 5 outings, and newcomer Nolan Kneen has 2 assists in 3 contests since joining the Blades.
