'Blades Release Season Ending Protected List

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades president and general manager Craig Brush, along with head coach Gerry Fleming announced today the team's season-ending player protected list. The players listed by the Everblades include two goaltenders, four defenseman and three forwards.

The nine players protected by Florida are: goalies Tyler MacKay and Chris Madden; defenseman Shane Hnidy, Simon Tremblay, Chris Lee and Bryce Charpentier; and forwards Reggie Berg, Brandon Coalter and Jonas Fiedler.

The players submitted by the Everblades will have their rights remain property of Florida until they are either signed by the club or given a qualifying offer. Any player listed on the season-ending roster that has not signed a contract or does not receive a qualifying offer from the club, will become an unrestricted free-agent as of July 2, 2005.

All ECHL teams are required to submit to the ECHL, a list of up to 20 players that each club wishes to protect. Each ECHL team has exclusive rights to the players on their season-ending roster up to July 1, 2005. During this time, no team may contact a player on another team's season-ending roster.
