Florida Everblades News Release

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades President & General Manager Craig Brush, along with Head Coach Gerry Fleming announced today that the team has made a number of changes to its roster.

Two of the changes involve the injured reserve list. Defenseman Ryan Van Buskirk was activated from the 3-day IR today. The 27-year-old, who has been out of the lineup since November 23, has picked up two points (1g, 1a) in eight games this season. Van Buskirk returns to the lineup having played in 324 career professional games, scoring 14 goals and adding 69 assists while amassing 754 penalty minutes.

The Everblades also have placed forward Paul Caponigri on the 3-day IR after the 28-year-old suffered an injury in Florida's 3-1 win over Alaska last Friday night. Caponigri has only played in two games with the Everblades since being acquired by the club in a trade with the Mississippi Sea Wolves on November 30. The Oak Park, Illinois native has one assist in his two games with the Everblades this season, and overall has skated in seven games this year notching four assists with Texas, Stockton and Florida.

In addition to the IR moves, the Everblades released from their contracts, forwards Brandon Coalter and Chris Rebernik and emergency back up goaltender Justin Miller.
