Saskatoon - 1st - Patterson (Walker Wintoneak, Hulak) 0:33 The Blades jumped out to a 1-0 lead right out of the gate. Patterson, from behind the net, had his centering pass find the back of the Swift Current net after it was knocked in off the stick of Broncos' defender. For the 19-year-old, it was his 15th of the season.
Saskatoon - 1st - Gogol (Marek Viedensky, Duncan Siemens) 9:45 The recently acquired Blade, Gogol, put his new club up 2-0 on his 1st of the season. Viedensky (Handlova, Slovakia) stole the puck along the half boards, turned, and sent a pass to Gogol in the slot, who made no mistake on the one-timer.
Swift Current - 2nd - Cody Eakin (Michael Stickland) 0:20 The Broncos made it 2-1 after breaking in on a 2-on-1 into the Blades' end. Stickland sent a pass across to Eakin, who deposited his 30th of the year.

Saskatoon - 2nd - Hulak (Travis Toomey) 15:26 sh The Blades went up 3-2 before the middle frame was closed. Toomey grabbed a loose puck in the neutral zone and broke in on a 2-on-1 with Hulak. Toomey carried wide, outwaited the defender and put a cross-crease pass to Hulak, who chipped home his 19th of the season.
Stanford made 29 saves in the Blades' net to earn the victory. Mark Friesen turned aside 24 of 27 shots in the Swift Current net in a losing cause.
