EXTINQUISHED: Rookie forward Hudson Kibblewhite recorded his first career multi-goal game as the Saskatoon Blades man-handled the Regina Pats 9-1 at SaskTel Centre on Wednesday.

The 6-foot-2 centre potted the game's opening goal under three minutes into the contest and padded the lead about halfway through the final 20 minutes. Kibblewhite missed the last four games due to injury and shook off any doubt skeptics may have had about his performance. In 29 games this season, Kibblewhite leads all Blades' rookies with four goals and five points.

Anaheim Ducks draft pick Egor Sidorov scored his 100th career WHL goal and finished with three points (1G, 2A) on the evening. The 6-foot winger leads the team in goals with 37 and has 63 points in 43 games.

Rookie netminder Evan Gardner was exceptional in net stopping 30-of-31 shots and picked up his 12th win of the season.

The Blades continued their dominance at home and secured their eighth consecutive win at SaskTel Centre. Saskatoon is 19-1-1-0 on home ice and remain first in the WHL with a 34-9-2-3 record.

NEXT GAME: The Blades welcome the Medicine Hat Tigers to SaskTel Centre on Friday for a battle between two Eastern Conference heavyweights.
