Everett Silvertips News Release

SPOKANE, Wash. - Austin Roest led the way with a hat trick as the Silvertips pulled out a 7-4 victory in Spokane over the Chefs on Tuesday night.

Down 3-1 late in the first period, Roest netted his first of the game at 19:16 to get the Tips within striking distance. He'd even the score at 9:39 in the second period thanks to a turnover generated by the forecheck of Hayden Smith and Lukas Kaplan. Carter Bear would give the Silvertips their first lead at 17:39 in the second, though a Shea Van Olm shorthanded goal sent the game into the second intermission tied at four a side.

Roest broke the deadlock with a powerplay goal at 4:04 in the third period, completing the hat trick for his 25th goal of the season and his third career three-goal night. Dominik Rymon added insurance at 7:09 with Beau Courtney tacking on an empty-netter for a 7-4 final.

Tyler Palmer saved 34 of 36 in relief to earn his 19th win of the season.
