Blackhawks Sign IceHogs Alum MacKenzie Entwistle to Two-Year Extension

The Chicago Blackhawks announced today that they have agreed to terms with forward MacKenzie Entwistle on a two-year contract extension that runs through the 2023-24 season ($800,000 salary cap hit).
Entwistle, 22, made his National Hockey League debut last season with the Blackhawks, recording two points (1G, 1A) in five games. His first career NHL goal came on May 9 vs. Dallas. The Georgetown, Ontario native also posted 12 points (4G, 8A) in 22 games with the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League during the 2020-21 season.
In 78 games with Rockford, Entwistle has registered 38 points (15G, 23A) across two seasons. Entwistle was originally acquired by the Blackhawks in a trade with the Arizona Coyotes on July 12, 2018.
He was drafted in the third round (69th overall) by Arizona in the 2017 NHL Draft. Prior to his professional career, Entwistle won back-to-back Ontario Hockey League championships in 2018 and 2019.
