
Black Bears Win Series against Doubledays on the Road

West Virginia Black Bears News Release
The West Virginia Black Bears defeated the Auburn Doubledays at Falcon Park in 2 out of 3 games. The third game was postponed to July 18 due to rain. The Black Bears offense had strong showings in each game, giving the team a 12-3 win on Thursday and a 8-5 victory on Friday. In the two games, the Black Bears collected a total of 23 hits to help propel the team to its first series win of the season.
June 25 - Moore stays hot, collects four hits in 12-3 victory
OF Ty Moore highlighted the Black Bears offense by going 4-6 with two RBI as the team scored a season-high 12 runs.3B Daniel Arribas kept his hot streak alive by going 3-5, improving his batting average to a team-high .368. In addition to the impressive performance at the plate, the pitching was outstanding as well. Starter Hector Garcia (1-0) was lights out in 5.0 innings pitched, striking out eight and scattering two hits.
June 26 - Black Bears hold off Auburn's late surge in 9-5 win
With the Auburn offense coming alive late, P Andy Otamendi closed the door to get the final two outs in the ninth to secure the Black Bears' first series win. OF Ty Moore launched a two-run shot in the first inning, his first homer of his professional career, and 2B Kevin Kramer picked up a pair of RBI's to help propel the team to victory. In the second straight strong pitching performance, starter Dario Agrazal (1-0) tossed 6.0 innings, allowing only one run.
June 27 - Rain postpones series finale with Auburn to 7/18

The Black Bears return home on Sunday, June 28 for a scheduled start time of 4:05 p.m. as they begin a three-game series with the Hudson Valley Renegades at Monongalia County Ballpark.
