Brazos Valley Bombers News Release

Wednesday's game at Brazos Valley Bank Ballpark featured the second of six Angry Bird Bobblehead giveaways, on a night where the Bombers lost 5-1 to the East Texas PumpJacks.

Tonight the team had no answer for PumpJacks pitcher James Guillen. The righty from USC held the team to three scattered hits in seven innings pitched, and the first 11 outs for the Bombers came via groundout. Justin Padron drove in the lone run for the home-team on a ground-ball up the middle as the Bombers made a late charge in the 9th inning.

The Bombers look to right the ship Thursday night, which will feature the second Thirsty Thursday of the season, and Go Gold Night at the ballpark. Gold's Gym will be giving away rally towels to the first 500 fans in the ballpark. The Bombers will then travel to Victoria to take on the Generals in their weekend series, before coming home for Modern Family Night, with guest appearances from stars Rico and Raini Rodriguez of the hit show. Also on Monday night will be the first Monday Feast of the season, followed by Shipwreck Grill's Pirate Night on Tuesday.
