Bisons Slug a Win Over Knights

FORT MILL, S.C. - The Buffalo Bisons held off the Charlotte Knights with a 10-3 victory at Knights Stadium. Buffalo has now taken the two of the first three games in the series.

Bisons' first baseman Lucas Duda had a huge game for Buffalo as he hit two home runs, a double and four RBI. Duda also scored three runs in the game to lead the Bisons to victory. Buffalo starting pitcher Dylan Owen earned his second win of the season and struck out seven.

Charlotte starting pitcher Freddy Dolsi struggled through 5.0 innings of work allowing five runs off nine hits. The Knights were able to do some damage in the sixth inning. Eduardo Escobar hit a 2-RBI single that brought catcher Tyler Flowers and outfielder Jordan Danks in to score. Unfortunately the Knights weren't able to add any more runs in the inning.

Knights' outfielder Jordan Danks did hit a solo home run in the second inning. The homer was Danks' 9th of the year and he is now tied with teammate Dayan Viciedo for the team lead.

The Knights and Bisons continue their series tomorrow at 7:15 PM. RHP Matt Zaleski will pitch for Charlotte and RHP Josh Stinson will start for Buffalo.
